I too look at you tube and find some great inspirational videos that I take and preach to my students and athletes. One of my favorites Eric Thomas, I start every week with TGIM.
This is a great video! I love watching inspirational videos, especially those depicting the importance of dedication in sports. However, I believe the message goes beyond that; it's really depicting the significance of dedicating one's self to something of great worth. As a runner myself, I often find myself raising the same questions in my head, asking myself if I have what it takes to take it to the next level. This is where you create the image you desire to display, to inspire others as well. This is definitely a great video clip to show young athletes.
I do believe this would be helpful to motivate students in the athletic/ p.e. setting. Good choice.
Great video - thanks! I will definitely use it when talking to my student-athletes. Favorite line - "Real supermen don't leap over tall buildings in a single bound. They take small, determined steps consistently over a period of time."
It's okay to not understand, it's not okay to not try.
